Admission criteria
Students are selected on the basis of their skills and suitability. School-report grades are also taken into account, and earlier evidence of enthusiasm, such as success in competitions, is an advantage. Application papers are handed out during the introduction weekend.

Admission to Tietotie Upper Secondary School goes through the normal national joint application system (yhteishaku). The minimum accepted grade average is fixed at 7.2 (on the Finnish 4–10 scale of the lower secondary leaving certificate). Students accepted to the School of Mathematics are sent detailed instructions on applying to the upper secondary school later. If you completed lower secondary school outside Finland, please contact us, as your application will need individual guidance.
