Päivölä Student Innovation Lab

Besides studying, students spend part of every week working at Päivölä Student Innovation Lab (PSIL) – the School of Mathematics’ own work placement. Work averages 12 hours a week, in an open-plan office on the Päivölä campus.

The work is organised in projects, so students gain experience of many kinds of tasks, subjects and people. The mainly computing-based work supports their studies, bringing variety as well as experience. What the work demands most is initiative, a drive to develop yourself and your skills, and a willingness to learn whatever the job requires.
